Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)

NLP is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, United States in the 1970s.

NLP's creators claim there is a connection between neurological processes (neuro-), language (linguistic) and behavioural patterns learned through experience (programming), and that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life, often in a single session, NLP can treat problems such as phobias, depression, tic disorders, psychosomatic illnesses.

How is this relevant to More Kaizen?

NLP has been adopted by some hypnotherapists and also by companies that run seminars marketed as leadership training to businesses and government agencies. Importantly NLP did not arrive on a flying saucer neither was it born in a vacuum it was based upon the observations of the best clinical practitioners whose results bucked the medical statistical norm in terms of results such luminaries as; Milton Hyland Erickson (Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist) Virginia Satir(Family therapist pioneer in reconstruction therapy) and Frederick Perls (Created with coining the term Gestalt Therapy).
